I know this is gonna sound mighty sad but it is exciting to be involved in reclaimed flooring as we fly through 2010. Reclaimed flooring is like a snowball rolling down a hill, but instead of picking up snow, reclaimed flooring is picking up people. Not so much fans but supporters, people who don’t just want to buy reclaimed flooring, they want to tell the world why they bought it, what wonderful value it offers, and what benefits it garnishes for the environment.
For the first time the numbers of people selling reclaimed flooring is growing as fast as the number of people who want to buy it. All have the same benefit to the environment; buyers are saving wood from being chopped from forests, and sellers are saving their wood going into environmentally disastrous land fills.
We would love to be big-headed and say we have had something to do with the increase in sellers, but that might be a stretch. Stretch or not, by making it easier than ever to sell wood flooring, we certainly haven’t hindered the growth.
Regular readers to the site will note the new pages, explaining what the next steps are for those wanting to sell wood, and what woods we are constantly in demand of. To all those of you who have already sold us wood, thank you, keep it coming, and to all those who haven’t: call us now to discuss your offer.
